Can foreigners buy property in Thalang?
Yes, under the same rules as anywhere in Thailand. A foreigner can own a condominium unit freehold within the building’s 49% foreign quota. Land can be owned freehold only by Thai nationals, so a foreign villa buyer usually takes a registered 30-year lease of the land.
Which part of Thalang should I look at?
For beach access and new condos, look at Bang Tao, Layan and Laguna. For villas on larger plots, look inland at Si Sunthon and Thep Krasattri. For quieter sea-view villas, look at Pa Khlok and Cape Yamu.
How far is inland Thalang from the airport?
