Can foreigners buy a villa in Si Sunthon?
Yes. Land can be owned freehold only by Thai nationals, so a foreign villa buyer usually takes a registered 30-year lease of the land and owns the house. A condominium unit can be owned freehold within the building’s 49% foreign quota. Have an independent lawyer check the title.
How far is Si Sunthon from the beach and the airport?
By the developers’ figures, villa projects in inland Thalang are about 10 to 15 minutes by car from Layan Beach and 15 to 17 minutes from the airport. Times vary with the exact plot and traffic.
Are the villas in Si Sunthon new or existing?
Both. Serrana is a new project, while many of the individual villas we list are existing homes. Ask us which villas are complete or close to handover, and we arrange a viewing.
