Pa Khlok (also spelled Pa Klok) is a subdistrict on Phuket’s north-east coast, in Thalang District, facing Phang Nga Bay. It includes Cape Yamu and Ao Po, and it is quieter and greener than the west coast, with sea-view villas on large plots and local villages in between. The west-coast beaches are a drive across the island.

Can foreigners buy a villa in Pa Khlok?
Yes. Land can be owned freehold only by Thai nationals, so a foreign villa buyer usually takes a registered 30-year lease of the land and owns the house. A condominium unit can be owned freehold within the building’s 49% foreign quota. Have an independent lawyer check the title.
How far is Pa Khlok from the airport?
Our Pa Khlok guide gives around 15 km to Phuket International Airport. By car allow about 25 to 35 minutes, depending on where in Pa Khlok the home is.
Can I buy land in Pa Khlok?
Land can be owned freehold only by Thai nationals. A foreign buyer can take a registered 30-year lease of land and build on it, or buy a villa on leased land. Have a lawyer check the title deed and access road first.
