Phuket Regions
Two distinctively different varieties of island are found in the Andaman Sea, each of them scenically striking in its own way. Low-relief granite intrusions, which include the Surin and Similan, run in series roughly parallel to the more dramatic limestone islands. Koh Phi Phi have been shaped by a variety of forces from a massive limestone platform that was deposited 350 million to 450 million years ago. The island is a must for the would be adventurer or just chill and relax in a tranquil setting and be envied by all. Phuket itself is mainly granite, with low forested mountains and a series of fine white-sand beaches, mostly on the west coast. Much of the forest has been cleared, first for rubber plantations and then for tourism development. The one remaining significant stand of virgin rain-forest is the Khao Phra Thaeo Park a protected national park area where you can take short treks or visit the waterfall. Breathtakingly beautiful, nature and scenic attractions are in abundance throughout this island paradise. So, let’s firstly take a look at the three main administrative areas in Phuket, known as Districts (Amphoe), they are as follows; Mueang Phuket District Mueang Phuket is the capital district of Phuket Province, also known as Phuket Town. Geographic Location Information
Phuket, Thailand is an island paradise in southern Thailand only a short flight from Asian capital cities: Bangkok (1 hour), Singapore (1.5 hours) and Hong Kong (3.5 hours). Phuket is renowned for its miles of sandy white beaches, the azure waters of the Andaman Sea the warm Thai hospitality and many real estate projects and real estate opportunities. Located approximately 862 km south of Bangkok, Phuket is Thailand’s largest island, which is often dubbed as “the pearl of the Andaman Sea”, or “the pearl of the south”. Its natural resources – rocky peninsulas, limestone cliffs, white powdery beaches, tranquil broad bays and tropical in-land forests contribute to making it the South’s wealthiest, busiest, most visited and most popular island and province. There is a lot more to offer its visitors other than its natural heritage, sea, sand, sky, beach, forest, and world-renowned diving sites.
Sino-Portuguese architecture casts its spell delighting travelers to the city, while the style hospitality has never failed to impress visitors from all walks of life. For seafood lovers, there is much more to sample than just famous lobster. Altogether, these characteristics have made this place a truly unique destination. We recommend to visit the great old house but in recent times, the main business income is tourism and Real Estate Sale and Real Estate Rental, which has transformed the island into Thailand’s wealthiest province. One might expect that the prices are a bit higher than on the mainland. Western Phuket was hit hard by the tsunami in the Indian Ocean in December 2004, but there is almost no evidence left of the damage. Phuket is very popular as a tourist destination and most of the beaches on the west coast of Phuket-town in the southeast and the airport in the north.
Phuket Weather
Phuket’s so called low season, or rainy season is actually much better than most imagine. Sunsets are magically colourful, the weather is mild and refreshed after the usual short daily shower and the island is less cramped with tourists and the prices become lower. With weather changing around the world, this place is not an exception, the rainy season seems pushed back further and has less impact than before. The low season is one of the best times of the year for those looking for peace and quiet in the tropics. Just sit back and relax.
There are only two seasons in a year – the wet season (May to October) and the hot season (November to April). The best period for a visit, is from November to February, when the sky and sea are both crystal clear. Average temperatures range between +23°C and +33°C.This area is hot and humid all year round. The high season is considered to be from March to early May. During the summer monsoon season from May to October, mornings and afternoons are still sunny and clear, but it tends to rain in the evenings.
